Tele-Neurology: Neurologist Evaluation by Secure Video Visit
A full neurological evaluation by secure video visit, conducted directly by a board-certified neurologist, not a screening call with a general telehealth line.
A Real Neurological Evaluation, Delivered by Video
Tele-neurology at NeuroLUX is a secure video visit conducted directly with a board-certified neurologist, Dr. Vikas Pandey or Dr. Sima Nekoui. The visit follows the same structure as an in-clinic evaluation: a detailed review of symptoms and injury history, a neurological assessment adapted to the video format, and a discussion of what further testing, if any, is appropriate. Dr. Pandey has built and led acute stroke telemedicine programs serving over 120 hospitals across multiple states, so the clinical judgment behind these visits reflects established telehealth neurology practice.
Who Tele-Neurology Is Appropriate For
Tele-neurology is built for patients who cannot easily reach NeuroLUX's Irving clinic, whether because of distance, mobility limitations following an injury, or because they live in Dallas, Houston, or elsewhere in Texas. It's also a reasonable starting point for patients who want a neurologist's assessment of their symptoms before deciding what in-person testing, if any, is needed next. Our physician team will always be direct about whether a case would benefit from an in-person exam or testing, and will help coordinate that when needed.
What Tele-Neurology Can and Can't Replace
Video visits are well suited to symptom review, history-taking, treatment planning, and follow-up care. They are not a substitute for tests that require hands-on equipment, such as EEG or qEEG recordings or DTI MRI. What tele-neurology does well is determine, without requiring travel, whether those further tests are warranted, and if so, how to get them done. NeuroLUX can often coordinate mobile EEG testing so a technician comes to the patient, or DTI MRI through partner facilities local to the patient.
Tele-Neurology for Personal Injury Referrals
Attorneys referring clients who live outside the Dallas-Fort Worth area, or whose injuries make travel difficult, can use tele-neurology to get a client in front of a board-certified neurologist without delay. Tele-neurology visits are documented with the same clinical rigor as in-clinic visits. See what we offer attorneys →
